Get a good night’s sleep. Don’t cram the night before!
Eat a good breakfast so you have energy and don’t get hungry during the test.
Bring two pencils with you to the test. If you would like to have water and a snack for the break, you can bring that with you as well.
Stay relaxed and confident. You know what to expect!
Before the test begins, you will fill out a scantron answer sheet with your name and other details. You will also indicate on your scantron which high schools your scores should be sent to. These will be the high schools that you have applied to.
You know the pacing! The start and end times are generally written on the board, and there should be a visible clock in the room. Also, the test administrator will announce the halfway point of each subtest just like we have practiced.
Answer every question. If you are unsure of an answer, take your best guess. Remember, there is no penalty for answering incorrectly.
Check your work. If time permits, go back and review your answers. Once the time is up for a subtest, you cannot go back.
If you have any questions or concerns during the test, do not be afraid to ask your proctor.
Plan to celebrate after finishing the test. You have worked hard for this day, and you should celebrate your accomplishment!
